Married almost 30 years with two children, a son 23 and a daughter 20.

In 1996 I joined a more hard core gym after having belonged to a spandex/thong gym for a few years. I soon became interested in powerlifting, having never heard the word before. My first meet was in April of 1999, and I've competed in a total of six competitions. My best lifts are 400 lbs in the squat, 285 lbs in the bench press, and 510 lbs in the deadlift, and a 1185 total. At every successive meet, I've been able to set at least one PR, and I occasionally win, usually by attrition. I'm the only person in my age/weight category. But, never turn down a trophy!

My powerlifting goals in my next competition in December of 2001 are a 425 lb squat, a 300 lb bench, and a 525 lb deadlift. Besides powerlifting, my other sports interest is bicycle riding. At one time I was an avid woodworker, and have built most of the furniture in my home.
