I'm 45, married, with 4 kids.

I (re)started lifting in the spring of 2001 after clearing out a storeroom and finding my old weights. I lift at home in a small setup with a bench, a couple bars, and a big selection of dumbbells.

I lift to keep my weight under control (currently 225). Also, my cholesterol and BP are now healthy.

I guess I'm more of a body-builder than a power lifter, only because I'm limited without a spotter. I'm not going to win any body-building competitions! (haha)

I really like the results I've gotten so far, and love the discussion board for inspiration, encouragement, and tips. Gradually the regulars on the board have nudged me towards a good diet and full body workout, although I still don't do deadlifts.
