Scott Hoekstra

I'm 36 born 10/16/66. Married to Erin for 9 years. I have 3 kids, Hannah
age 6, Lauren age 3, and Trent age 1. I'm 5'10" and weigh 250 lbs. I live
in Redlands, California.

I only compete in Bench Press contest. Best assisted bench with a single
ply Fury bench shirt is 584 lbs done in a WABDL meet April 12, 2003. I have
a submaster 275 class State record with the WABDL federation of 562. I also
have 2 World records set back in 2001 with the AAU for raw benches of 473.9.
One in the 242 class and one in the 275 class. Set the 242 at a BDW of 233
and the 275 at a BDW of 247.

I'm a drug free lifter. That's important to me because I speak to youth
about not taking short cuts in life to get ahead. I intermix my life story
with feats of strength to help kids set goals for their lives and strive to
be the best they can. I also like to introduce them to powerlifting. I
usually do school assemblies but have spoke almost anywhere and everywhere
teenagers are present.
